WATCH THIS VIDEO.  So... I'm pushing your boundries a little bit with this track, I'm certain..  Many of you will love this song, others will frankly hate it.  My own story with Die Antwoord starts about 6 months ago when I first heard this track.  I didn't get it, found it a bit irritating.  Then, [...]

          Bears – Nightbox

This is the debut EP from the Irish Canadian band Nightbox which was produced by members of Death From Above 1979 and MSTRKRFT. Those two names alone made my ears perk up and you can hear their electro influence on this track. It’s definitely an interesting blend of indie rock and electro pop.

          What is the Pulse?

The Pulse is a music blog that trys to filter down the thousand or so tracks we hear each month into 20 songs that we think are Pulseworthy. You can read more in the About Us section.

          Who is the Pulse?

The Pulse is KidBock (Jeff) and ben-e-ben (Ben). You can contact us at kidbock@pulseworthy.com or beneben@pulseworthy.com

          Why does the Pulse exist?

Because we love music and love to help our friends find great music and great artists. It's certainly not for the money. If only it could be though, someday, someday...

          What are the basics?

          a) The music player is at the bottom of the page and allows you to Load, change and Save any of the Pulse mixes or mixes you've created and saved. Click the iTunes button on the player bar to see and buy the whole mix in iTunes. See the Music Playing info tab above for more info on making and sharing your own mixes!

          b) Every month we'll post a mix, you can find it on the Monthly Mix Page. To download the songs, just click the iTunes button in each post and it will take you right to it. On occasion, there are tracks that iTunes doesn't have (shocker!) like remixes or mashups. In that case there will be a Download This Track link. Right click that link, pick Save As, pick the folder to save it in, then go to iTunes and then click File->Add to Library and pick from where you saved it. Might be simple to some, but I had to explain this to my sister so just in case....

          c) We'll also try to post a song a week or whenever we feel like it, that aren't part of the monthly mix. But you can browse all tracks including these by going to the Songs of the Week section, or you use the search box to find something specific.

          d) You can get social with all this stuff in a number of ways. For each post there are Tweet, Like and +1 buttons under the post picture. The same buttons exist on the music player bar and work with the currently playing song. You can also comment on each post and leave your mark on Pulseworthy forever (even post that comment to Facebook). If you don't know what any of that is, the internet is full of people and places that will tell you.

Why should I sign up and sign in?

Having a login for the Pulse allows you to create custom playlists. There will be even more cool stuff you can do coming soon! (like share playlists with friends) Plus it's super easy with just one click using your Facebook or Twitter login. And unlike most other sites, you don't have to give up the goods to do that.

I'm still confused, what should I do now?

Contact us at info@pulseworthy.com or using the Contact Form. Don't fret, we won't judge. Actually, we love questions. Trust me, if you don't get it, you're not alone. It just means we haven't made it simple enough.

Ok, I get it, this is awesome, how can I support the Pulse?

          1. Buy shit! Click the iTunes links on our site to go straight to the tracks and we get a humble 5% commission on what you purchase. Or better yet, click on one of the few music related advertisers we have relationships with and buy some of their cool music stuff. We are particularly fond of TuneUp!

          2. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter and share what you like with your world. Tell your friends, family and anyone else about our site. Just don't tell the weird uncle.

          3. Support the artists. If you like their music, show your love. Don't just buy the track, check them out on tour (hell buy a t-shirt while you're there), and tell your friends. U2 makes over $100 million per year and the vast majority of that is from touring, not album sales. Of course you'll never see their music on this site, but the basic concept applies to The Knocks as well.

          Monthly Mix

Click this menu item directly to load the latest Monthly Mix. Or use the drop-down to go back to the future and see what you missed. When you click a mix, we'll ask if you want to replace whatever is currently in the music player. Saying no allows you to just browse that month's mix and add songs to the playlist to create your own custom playlist. Left and right arrows on the side of each post that allow you to browse to the next or the previous. There are also two post picture browsers that show the tracks you've recently viewed and the tracks in the mix you've selected. Hover over the left and right side to scroll back and forth through those tracks.

          Songs of the Week

Clicking this menu item will pull up a list of all the Random stuff we've posted for the year that didn't quite fit into a monthly mix for some reason or another. Timing is everything now and then. You can check out previous years hovering over the Monthly Mix menu link and selecting the Random category from whatever year you chose.

Add to and Remove from Playlist

You can add tracks to the current playlist by clicking the "Add to Playlist" button located under the photo for each post. Clicking that button adds the track to the bottom of the current playlist. You can drag each of the songs in the playlist to change the order of the tracks. Remove a track from the playlist by clicking the big X to the left of the track name.

          Load and Save Playlists

When you register as a user, we can save the playlists you create so that you can come back to them later, and in the future, share them with friends. The Load and Save buttons on the playlist let you, surprise, Load and Save your playlists! Email us if that didn't click for you.

Something doesn't work right, what should I do?

What browser are you using? Please don't say Internet Explorer. We recommend using Apple's Safari browser. If you don't like that, try Google Chrome. Anything else and your'e on your own. This is after all a music site, not your corporate intranet built in 2002.

Things are still broken or I got an idea how to improve your site.

Email us at info@pulseworthy.com. Anything that makes this site better usually results in a reward for those that bring it to our attention. Thanks in advance for taking the time to drop us a note!
